About

Hi there! I'm Elena — the B2B social media strategist who builds programs that actually work.

MBA. Systems builder.
The connector in every room.

ONCE UPON A TIME

I was the oldest daughter of an immigrant family. I learned to translate before I learned to market.

Growing up, I was the bridge between worlds — translating not just language, but intent, nuance, and emotion for my family. I became fluent in reading a room, finding the right words, and making complex ideas land with people who needed to understand them.

I didn't know it then, but that was my first social media training.

I came to Boston in 2011 to pursue my MBA at Boston University. Around the same time, I started working at InterSystems — a private enterprise technology company with a deeply complex products and no social media presence. The head of marketing pulled me into his office one day and offered me the chance to build the company's first social media function from scratch.

I said yes before he finished the sentence and never looked back.

Boston, MA. The beginning.

Then I realized: B2B tech companies have some of the coolest, most important stories to tell.

And the hardest time telling them.

Healthcare data platforms that save lives. Cybersecurity tools that protect millions. Infrastructure software that powers the global economy. These companies are doing extraordinary work — and most of the world has never heard of them.

That gap is what I fix.

Over 15 years and three global social media programs — at InterSystems, Immuta, and Hitachi — I've built the systems, teams, and frameworks that turn technically complex brands into social media programs their buyers actually notice and their leadership can prove.

That's not a coincidence. It's The B2B Social Architecture™.

THINGS WORTH
KNOWING

NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT STUFF

01

I've built and scaled social media programs from zero. Different companies, different stages, same result: a program that runs without me.

02

I started my career in market research. Data has been my compass since before "data-driven" was a buzzword.

03

I'm a parrot-dove on the DISC assessment. Which means I'll connect with everyone in the room and also have a plan for all of them.

04

My MBA isn't a credential I hang on the wall.
It's how I think — connecting social strategy to P&L, pipeline, and organizational goals that actually matter to leadership.

Your at-a-glance guide to where I stand on all the truly important things.

THE QUICK TAKE

my hottest take

B2B social is a change management function. If your org isn't ready to change, no strategy will save you.

WHAT I'D TELL YOUR CMO

Your org chart is the reason your social program isn't working. Fix the structure before you fix the content.

MOST OVERRATED THING IN SOCIAL

Everyone becoming a personal brand coach. Build something first.

what i do compulsively

Steal from B2C and reverse-engineer it for B2B. The best ideas are always hiding in another industry.

Why the mba matters

The MBA didn't teach me marketing. It taught me how businesses work — the interconnected systems, the competing priorities, the decisions behind the decisions.

SOMETHING THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WORK

Francophile. Historical fiction reader. Slowly building a case for Paris. The French 75 template was not an accident.

What world travel has taught me

Walk into any room and find the human thread. That skill has built more programs than any framework I've written.

WHAT GROWING UP across continents TAUGHT ME

I learned to read a room before speaking, sensing what's not landing, hearing what's underneath. That's social listening.

favorite thing about b2b

Buyers are smart. You have to earn it.

HOW I MAKE EVERY DECISION

Gather intel. Map stakeholders. Connect the dots. Then move — with enough vulnerability to bring people with me.

yes, I'm in!

Practical frameworks, real case studies, and honest POV on building social programs that work in the hardest marketing category in the world.
